Some children may be less fortunate in a two-parent family because only the father or mother works. Single parent homes are under a lot of stress with one person caring for multiple children. “Two-parent families tend to have more money and some less tangible benefits, including less stress, more grandparental involvement, and fewer unexpected changes” (Leonhardt). Children who grow up in a two-parent home will grow old not knowing how to run their own family because everything has been done for them. Unlike children who grow up in a single-parent home, it will most likely be easier for them to be raised by their mother due to their experience.
