Since their introduction, mobile computing devices have become very popular. Not just in English-speaking countries, like the United States, but in countries all over the world. As English is the leading language of the digital age, the demand for non-English speakers to learn English has increased substantially. The digital age increases the chances of a higher standard of living, so everyone wants to learn the language of opportunity. They try to improve primary skills: reading, speaking, writing and listening in English. Reading comprehension is considered a problem for students of English as a second language (ESL). In educational contexts, teachers use different learning theories to develop ESL students' reading comprehension. In the current digital age, there is a direction of learning theory that seeks to improve reading skills called the connectionist model or connectivism.
