Some say simply walking is fine, while others say the opposite. In the article by Brown, B.M., Peiffer, J.J., and Martins, R.N. (2013) “Multiple effects of physical activity on molecular and cognitive signs of brain aging: Can physical exercise slow neurodegeneration and delay Alzheimer's disease? " a compiled list of research conducted was presented. In (see Table 1.), it is shown that the largest intervention study to date was conducted by Lautenschlager et al. His study showed a 1.3-point increase on the Alzheimer's Disease Rating Scale performed by the exercise intervention group. In the same table, another study group that underwent aerobic exercises and found improved performance in executive functions is also shown Baker et al.
