Stress is a phenomenon commonly experienced in a person's daily life and can impact it in different ways. A person can be affected by stress on a physical, emotional and health level. Stress can become overwhelming and usually difficult to control. The question now is; How could an individual prevent stress from occurring? Unfortunately, most people suffer from stress and it will always be part of a human being's life. However, there are several factors that can manage an individual's stress level. Factors that help manage and reduce stress are aerobic exercise, relaxation, meditation, and spiritual communities (Myers, 2013 p.502). These factors help manage stress but do not completely cure a person of stress. People may find any of the above factors beneficial. However, different strategies work differently on people. One of the factors that improve an individual's ability to deal with stress is aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise consists of activities such as walking, running, cycling, swimming, dancing, etc. This form of exercise is beneficial for your body and health. Apart from helping in reducing stress in a person, these activities also include better sleep, relief from depression or illness. Exercising regularly can improve a person's health, thereby reducing the stress that illness can cause. Another way that exercise is able to reduce stress is because exercise increases the “feel good” chemicals in the body, which are endorphins (Scott, 2012). These chemicals improve a person's mood. In addition to endorphins, the fact that a person exercises alone increases the mood for the better, leaving stress aside. In general, a person who exercises more frequently has ten... halves of paper... washing dishes and keeping the kitchen clean. Observational learning, on the other hand, involves learning about a fear by watching others experience it. June may have learned obsessive compulsive behavior by observing others avoid anxiety by cleaning. Cognition is an example of how the learning perspective may have influenced June's behavior. This explains how a person can over-exaggerate a scenario. June may also believe that if her house is not perfectly clean she will get sick from germs and bacteria.
