I wanted to break away from the formula. I was assigned an article and presentation on the Shakespearean play “Macbeth”. This assignment allowed me to explore the world about Shakespeare and create a presentation on the writing assignment. As Walt Disney used fairy tale characters and created world-famous amusement parks that leave people happy, I wanted to give my audience, who were my classmates, the same sense of wonder. For my presentation, I created a life-size Barbie box and dressed a young high school student in an outfit to embody the Barbie character, with a chic dress and golden curls that little girls everywhere idolize. I took scissors and cut Barbie's hair and transformed her from a glamorous dress into casual men's clothing; a formal button-up and black trousers to symbolize Lady Macbeth emasculating Macbeth in front of the audience
