Topic > Culture and cultural aspects of Crystal culture...

We all grew up in different types of cultures, communities and backgrounds. On September 20th I interviewed Crystal Keshawarz to learn about her culture and her knowledge about culture. We mainly focused on religion and how she grew up, her life was never easy. She has always thought very differently from others and this has changed her perception on how women should be outspoken and. As the interview progressed, I became more and more interested and knowledgeable about the cultural aspects of his life. The three most important topics I focused on in the interview were perception of self and others, communication and culture, language and verbal communication. In the interview I started with a difficult question to ask. Language has a lot to do with culture because that's how we all communicate. There are many immigrants in America who speak many different languages but then most of them know English so they can communicate with others. When I asked Crystal “What do you think is the power of language?” His response was: “language is a supreme power, without it we cannot convey our emotions. Without it we won't be able to build a community full of people from all over the world." Which I believe is true because how would we live the life we are living if we didn't have the ability to communicate with each other. We all come from different countries and are united by one language. Which led me to the next question: “what are some ways that language helps you communicate with people from different cultures?” What I mean by this question is that a lot of people who come to this country all speak different languages unless you are from England because they all speak English there, but if you are from the Middle East, Asia or Spanish countries most likely to speak the language of your country, so when you come to America you start to learn English to communicate and talk to people who want to do something from where you live. Crystal’s response to the question was, “I think it provides context for what you intend to convey. Expressing emotions and being able to share your story. Also be able to establish a cultural legacy.” Which was similar to my thoughts but I was a little different because of the way we imagine things. Being the fact that she looks at the small details of certain things, while I look at the whole
