I would like to remind managers and leaders that the quality, efficiency and safety of the clinic will increase as knowledge is shared, support and resources are provided to the staff and as staff recognize that leadership is authentic, open and sincere, recognizing their voice and value in decision making, the result will be a positive work environment with greater commitment and ownership of tasks (Wong & Laschinger, 2013). Training provided to management would include books, videos, and hands-on simulations that reflect the types of situations and decisions they might encounter (Davis & Goetsch, 2010). However, for empowerment to become an integral part of the fabric of the healthcare facility, leadership will need to demonstrate commitment and engage employees. Leaders will need to learn through training and education to let go of insecurities, ego, and certain personality characteristics that are barriers to employee empowerment or to leaving the clinic and finding other employment (Davis & Goetsch, 2010). I would apply a strategic and review process that requires leadership to report on their efforts
