The free movement of their goods and services should be able to stimulate and increase trade, eliminating barriers to entry. Theoretically, all EU member states can benefit from it because it gives them the opportunity to specialize in those goods and services that they are proportionately more consistent in producing. Furthermore, domestic manufacturers also face strong competition against international manufacturers due to the reduction of trade barriers, and when there is an increase in the size of the market in which companies are able to sell, this delegates the economics of United Kingdom to reap its economies of scale. All in all, these repercussions function to lower consumer prices as well as increase overall economic well-being, despite the costs of disruption or disintegration of some sectors and industries due to exposure to international and foreign risks.
