Topic > Statement of Intent for Electrical Engineering

Declaration of IntentFour years of university studies in the field of electronics and communications and a strong predilection towards research made the choice to continue my studies obvious for me. My ultimate goal is to pursue a career in research, both in industry and academia. I firmly believe that a Master's in Electrical Engineering from your esteemed University will be a crucial first step in the process of realizing my career goals. I have always cherished the dream of becoming an Engineer, a dream that was innate and developed slowly over the years. the years. Since my school days I have found myself fascinated by the intricacies of mathematics and physics, which weaved their web of aura around me, a web which I tried to unravel in countless problem solving sessions. I have always felt a strong need for success, which has been the motivating force behind everything I have achieved in my academic career. The electrical department staff at my university gave strong support to my feelings by saying that I can achieve anything. By being electrical engineering students we can create the world and we can move the world. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I was exposed to a myriad of different subjects in mathematics, pure sciences, engineering and computer science in addition to intensive laboratory work in related subjects. During my freshman year a series of math, physics and chemistry courses reintroduced me to these subjects, but now with engineering oriented courses like Tele Communicaton Switching System, Embedded Sytems, Vlsi Design have laid in me the strong foundations and techniques of problem solving. Additional courses such as Digital Signal Processing, Control Systems, Communication Systems exposed me to ne... middle of paper... characteristic of American culture. It would also help me to learn the global standards in this field and become aware of the global competition, which I think would be of great help for me to make a strong contribution in the field of electrical engineering. Your university with its unique graduate program in Electrical Engineering and with its commitment to promoting intellectual excellence is extraordinary and attractive for pursuing an academic career. I am looking forward to embarking on a stimulating career in research which can also be arduous and demanding at times, but I am confident that with my sincerity and dedication I will be able to make a significant contribution to ongoing research developments and to be up to your university's high standards. If given the opportunity, I will strive to channel my unbridled efforts towards more productive avenues.
