If you look at the vision, mission, and information regarding Cracker Barrel's internal structure and efforts, it appears that the company has a strong and solid internal structure. Examination of external information such as complaints, court cases and reports, however, provided a picture of a company with a severely debilitated organizational culture and a structure that desperately needed organizational development intervention. Cracker Barrel seems to have overlooked some of the key core components of a positive organizational culture, such as enabling employees to have an influence or impact on the organization and the environment, and other humanistic values that are the core of the Organization.
