To demonstrate, in the article “Virtually all Homeless People Experience Discrimination,” Keyes revealed that, “one interviewee noted that they were told they could not enter a bar” because of my clothing, the cart, my extra bags” (Keyes 1). All people who need help can get jobs and training under the Workforce Investment Act, WIA. 70.4% of homeless people said they felt discriminated against by private businesses. A large number of homeless people cannot find work because they are disabled or mentally unstable. Many of the homeless who are currently not working are making great efforts to try to find a job that is out there and available, but they are constantly discriminated against by the workforce. In fact, in the book The Homeless Opposing Viewpoints he confirms the fact that homeless people want work by stating: "Since 2000, they have seen a doubled number of homeless applicants who still struggle to keep a job" (The Homeless Opposing Viewpoints)
