Who would have been the most suitable leader of Rome in the 6th century BC? Many believe it could have been Mark Antony, Mark Brutus or the great Julius Caesar. Marcus Brutus is known to be the most honorable man in Rome at the time and was highly respected. Caesar is the ruler and has a successful army. He also seeks wealth and power. Antony is Caesar's right-hand man and a good friend. He later acquires the position that Caesar had and also seeks wealth and power. All three men are looking for work, but Brutus is obviously the most suitable and also the only one who never had the chance. Julius Caesar is the leader of Rome and is trying to become king in a matter of time. Although he is a good military strategist, he lacks knowledge in running the government and is too greedy to care about the peasants when he is alive. Caesar is all about conquest and power and is afraid of nothing. Before he was killed, he says: “The things that threatened me never looked except over my shoulder. When they see Caesar's face, they will have disappeared" (II, ii, 575). Yep...
