The Christian vision of the Apocalypse Revelation by definition is the disclosure of facts or theories through religious events that had previously remained hidden. For Christians, revelation is primarily linked to God's revelation to his people over the centuries. God made himself known to us, but we must consider that he also presented himself to us, the choice whether to welcome his love is ours. God did not push himself on us. His acts of love remain the motivation for our acceptance of God. We have free will, but His motivation for revelation is His love for us. It is thanks to this natural reason that has existed for centuries that our faith in God has developed and established itself. God for us is the source of life, our creator and protector. Revelation aided this Christian illustration of God. God revealed himself to us in two phases: - The Old Testament - The New Testament In the Old Testament God manifested himself through actions rather than words of obvious connection with the Scriptures or prophecies. In the Old Testament, God actively sought his chosen people. God spoke to man, through the experience of the exodus we see both the actions and direction of God. The experience of the exodus allows us to see examples of God's actions, his revelation in events such as the burning bush and the pillar of fire. The liberation of the Israelites also revealed God as a liberator and the voice of a savior. He showed them that He was with them. The beginning of Easter then revealed God as loving and compassionate with this celebration. The experience of the exodus showed God's care and providence for his people. It saved them from... middle of paper... treated with both a religious and philosophical approach. But I think that revelation, when viewed as an experience of God, and not simply as events in which God physically revealed himself to individuals, is a foundational aspect of religion. Religion is defined as “belief and worship of God or Gods”. This belief was born from a vision of God, which comes from the experience of God in our lives, a personal vision of God and his actions, a revelation. So I think that religion is based on revelation, not only, but definitely. In conclusion, I think that although we can come to a vague conclusion that religion is based on revelation and that philosophy is associated with reason, there is no concrete conclusion that can be made. Personal opinion and philosophy play an important role in this matter, there is no right or wrong.
