Is there life out there, in the afterlife? It's a question many of us have asked ourselves, but there is no real answer, no tangible evidence that validates the existence of other intelligent beings. All we have are the so-called experiences that earthly people have had with these beings, like me. I remember staying up late one night as a child. I was lying in bed and admiring the stars outside the window when I saw a bright light in the distance. It moved in impossible ways that I couldn't explain, to this day. It was only for a moment, but the memory of this inexplicable phenomenon has remained with me ever since. If there are other intelligent beings like us living in distant worlds, how do we explain their position in religious history? Are they gods or angels? Are they our creators? In past decades, people who claimed to have had UFO experiences banded together to create religious societies in an attempt to get closer to extraterrestrial life. Although all of these societies hold different views on UFOs and religion, they all have a common belief: there is life out there, and they are real, powerful beings far more advanced than humans in technology and psychic abilities. In this research paper, I will establish how some of these religious societies were formed and detail how their belief system works and why they are considered religious in nature. First, to gain a better understanding of these societies, I must define what UFO religion means.
