“The usual representation of food and obesity on television has many documented negative consequences on eating habits and patterns” (Caroli, par. 4). From a personal point of view, children are the biggest victims of advertising due to their easy attractiveness and attraction. Children don't know it, they don't realize that advertising acts as a curtain for businesses. McDonald's does not show the effects that long-term consumption of their products can lead to. Plastering a huge man eating fries and a hamburger on a billboard isn't high on McDonald's priority list because that image doesn't sell. Advertising is meant to attract customers to increase sales, and the truth behind it all does the exact opposite of what they think.
