SCL 81. Discuss how your lifestyle affects your consumption and quality of life.NAME: NG SIM YEEHealthHealth, as one of the areas related to lifestyle, it affects my consumption and quality of life. I always worry about my mental health as well as physical. To stay mentally healthy, I prefer to rest well and sleep well. Therefore, I worry about the quality and hygienic condition of my “sleep accessories” such as mattress, pillow and blanket. I “consume” a lot on them. Furthermore, to maintain my physical health, I follow a healthy and balanced diet and consume the necessary supplements. As far as I'm concerned, my consumption pattern contributes to improving the quality of life because, having a better state of health, I don't need to suffer from diseases and I can live longer and better. Education According to Dickens (2010): “Education is a commodity. This should be self-explanatory. At the margin school may be work, but infra-marginally at least some (if not most) people actually enjoy reading, classes, homework, etc.” As a student, there is no doubt that I would spend my energy, time and money for educational purposes. Besides reading and buying books, I take part in some training programs, attending seminars, workshops and training programs that could increase my knowledge. I believe that the higher the level of education, the greater the chances of a better quality of life. Communication In my life I practice both face-to-face communication and technological communication. My technology communication consumption pattern can be determined by my phone bill and trend analysis. More importantly, communication can satisfy my social needs, including the needs of belonging, love and affection and this... middle of paper... at least, on July 24, 2009, the Prime Minister of Malaysia launched the National Green Technology Policy. The definition of green technology is the development and application of products, equipment and systems used to conserve the environment and natural resources, which minimize and reduce the negative impact of human activities. The criteria of green technology are: minimizes degradation of the environment, has zero or low greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, is safe to use and promotes a healthy and better environment for all forms of life, conserves the use of energy and natural resources and promotes the use of renewable resources. This policy is important to ensure sustainable development and preserve the environment for future generations. The launch of all the above policies and programs aims to shift the development of our nation towards sustainable development.
