Immigration Being a young immigrant woman, I argue that there should be more helpful laws that help immigrants, so that they can receive a work permit. For example, DACA for incoming children, without that law I and millions of other immigrant students would not have the privilege of attending college, driving a car, or even working legally. Like many other undocumented people, my mother barked at a dangerous passage through the desert, I was only six years old and my little brother was three months old, we walked for several days, not only fearing the immigration patrols, but the dangers that the desert could have wolves, snakes and other animals, but above all the mafia. Drug lords who don't care whose blood they shed as long as they get what they want. Therefore, I believe there should be requirements for some to qualify for a law. The other law that President Barack Obama was trying to pass, called DAPA, would have helped millions of undocumented parents and minor children receive, would have boosted the US economy. because everyone would have paid a fine for the request. It would have helped many people live less in darkness due to the fear of being deported. I believe there should be a fair process because I see a lot of people coming in and no more than a year after receiving their work permit, but someone who has been here for many years and pays taxes to contribute to the US economy, continues to struggle to achieve that goal. We as a society have a long war to win, because we are divided between people who want to help immigrants and people who want us to be deported. Those people fail to realize that our country is made up of immigrants from different places and races. We are separated from the labels given to us by society.
