Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) Malaysia is Malaysia's ICT initiative designed to attract world-class technology companies and also drives the local ICT industry. It is also fully supported by the Government of Malaysia. Furthermore, MSC Malaysia has also led the country's transformation into the K-economy over the past decade. MSC has developed into a dynamic and thriving ICT hub, home to more than 900 multinational, Malaysian and foreign-owned companies, established in 1996. The companies have been cultivated for a greater focus on multimedia products, solutions, services and R&D and communication. MSC Malaysia's vision is to transform Malaysia into a knowledge-based society driven by the new economy. With this commitment, MSC Malaysia is committed and determined to drive this transformation through ICT through the development of socio-economic development. MSC's flagship applications were launched to enhance MSC Malaysia's initiatives and create a media hub for innovative producers and users of multimedia technology. There are seven flagship applications of MSC; e-government, smart cards, smart school, telemedicine, borderless marketing centers, global production networks, research and development centers. E-GovernmentE-government is the short form of electronic government. E-Government also known as digital government or government transformation. In other words, the term e-government is used to describe the use of technology to facilitate the functioning of government. Electronic Government aims to increase the convenience, performance and quality of interactions with citizens and businesses. At the same time, it can improve the flow of information and processes within government healthcare providers. Healthcare professionals must constantly update their knowledge and skills. For this application the use of multimedia and network technology could be improved. The third application of telemedicine is teleconsultation. It serves to connect healthcare workers through sharing and common support. Connections to improve work processes. Critical success factors, including a large number of users, provide speed, low cost and level of individual access. The final application is Lifetime Health Plan, the most complex and complete of the four applications. It will certainly focus and the patient's ongoing care depends on the permanent medical record. It also helps integrate information into permanent medical records to develop a personal health plan for each individual's life which requires the cooperation and acceptance of many consumers.
