Why I Went to College I grew up constantly watching my parents suffer over the choices they made when they had just graduated from high school. They always told me to go to college so I wouldn't have to suffer from the same mistakes they made and I would do just that. I decided to take on the student loan debt and continue my education because I refused to immediately settle down in life. The world around us forces us to grow up faster than before and I wanted to keep my youth a little longer. There is a quote that states “In life it is important not to get too comfortable” (Unknown). After high school it's easy for many kids to take a year off or attend a community college because it's the "comfortable" thing to do.
