No fun without fundingHow many people have a connection with education? Almost everyone in the United States receives an education. School is one of the most influential places in the world. Students learn numerous lessons about life while attending a school. Students generate knowledge and new memories that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Why should the government stop funding one of the neediest places on earth? Education can lead people to new experiences. Without government funding, schools cannot function as they should. Things students need to achieve their goals, such as sports and teachers, are taken away due to lack of funding. Without adequate education funding, today's youth will struggle to find success. To help with the limited funds produced by the government, several organizations assist schools with much-needed funds. The Great Recession triggered cuts to school funding. The government did not want to lay off a group of teachers, so it allocated a large amount of funds to help temporarily. The government made this situation an even bigger dilemma by briefly granting funds to schools in need. When the government stops providing funds it starts to target schools. States across the country must now decide whether to restore revenue or let the cuts happen (Baker). The government decided to suspend school funding in 2011. State revenues have not yet recovered from the recession; therefore, many schools still do not have the adequate funding needed. To help with the funds, there are numerous organizations created as an aid to provide these much needed funds (Oliff). Teachers have a greater impact on students' lives than communities and government recognize. As an important aspect of the United States, education must be funded by the government. Education is an important aspect of the United States. The people of the United States pay taxes; therefore, citizens pay for children to go to school. Why should the government take it away? The law requires students to attend school so that they can also have fun while doing so. Children cannot do this if the government takes away some of the most beneficial subjects or activities in school. If the government stopped funding schools, where would schools get the money they need to operate??
