A greengrocer changed the future of nationsThe poor young man was pulling a fruit cart to sell fruit and provide for his family when the police caught him and stopped him from selling fruit . When he tried to resist, one of the policewomen slapped him in front of about fifty pedestrians. The poor guy felt very embarrassed and burst into tears. Later, Mohammad Bouazizi, the greengrocer, decided to set himself on fire in desperation. Bouazizi ended his life and began the lives of many other people. The Tunisian greengrocer died eighteen days after this incident without knowing that his action had sparked revolutions in his country and in many other Arab countries. After what happened in Tunisia and many other countries, a new term was used to refer to the revolutionary wave and civil wars that took place in the Arab area (Arab Spring) which began on December 18, 2010. One of the main slogans of protesters in the Arab world was Ash-sha'b yurid isqat an-nizam “the people want to overthrow the regime”. Although the revolution materialized in Tunisia, Libya and some other countries, the conflict still exists in Egypt, Syria and Iraq. This leads to an important question about when it becomes necessary to organize a revolution, who determines how important it is, and who should be responsible for the decision in case things get out of control. Being a conflict between several opposing parties and having serious harmful consequences, citizens should not start a revolution unless there is a necessary demand for change and reform. According to Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States, the au.. .... middle of paper ...... and not a nursery of future revolutions. “Revolutions do not always have happy endings: in many cases things get out of control, and what began as an attempt to make reforms can turn into a tragedy. In Syria, for example, the leader refused to listen the demands of the citizens and to leave the throne. Furthermore, he used every means to torture the citizens. There should be an organization universal to force the president to leave his position and save the people. In conclusion, revolution is an important reform tool that should be used only when necessary. Decisions regarding revolutions should be made carefully to avoid harmful consequences , when things go wrong, there should be a superior organization to protect people.
