For my essay I researched cyber terrorism. I believe that cyber terrorism is a big problem in our society and may even be a worldwide problem for all of humanity today. I want to write my essay on cyberterrorism because I have had some personal experience with this type of terrorism. About two years ago I met a hacker on America Online. I opened an unknown message in my inbox titled "Free Nude Teens". Then, about a couple of weeks later, we got all kinds of bills to pay. My father received bills for many different things such as electronics, clothes, and other items that were purchased with our Internet account. My dad was so pissed off because he thought me or my brothers had purchased all those items. So we called the Company and found out that our computer had been hacked. And the so-called hacker purchased items on our account number. And we found out that the hacker was able to get in via a message I had opened. So we ended up paying only a thousand dollars on almost six thousand dollars of goods purchased on America Online. I want to do my research paper on cyber terrorism because I want to point out to people that this is a big problem and it will get worse in the future as nowadays everything is done in cyberspace. In this research paper, I will demonstrate that hackers gain power and publicity with the crimes they commit through cyberspace. And it's easy for even amateur hackers to get information and money from powerful organizations without being caught or suspected. Hacking is also a costly and destructive force for people in Cyber ​​Space. Cyberterrorism is such a destructive force that our country has lost millions of dollars from attacking terrorists in other countries. I know that cyber terrorism is becoming a real problem because I have found that ninety-six percent of all illegally hacked computers go undetected. This sentence alone says a lot about how unstoppable the force of cyber terrorism is. Hacking has become such a problem in today's computer-dependent society that stronger measures need to be implemented to stop hackers, and if hackers are still successful, they should be severely punished. . Hackers must be stopped due to the serious problems they can cause. Hopefully, people will soon realize the consequences of computer hacking and stop doing it.
