Topic > Cartels in Mexico have become increasingly brutal in recent years. As global demand for illegal drugs increases, so does violence. There are two major rival cartels currently campaigning to take over Mexico. Popular music lyrics glorify the cartel and attract new young members. Cartels have begun to diversify and are finding new ways to make money and control even larger segments of Mexican industry. Ordinary Mexican citizens are fed up with all this nonsense, even as they fear the consequences of standing up to the cartel. Educational standards need to be raised for students to acquire skills and knowledge, enabling them to seek better opportunities. Although Mexico's new president, Enrique Pena Nieto, has attempted to fight these cartels, this is still not enough. If nothing is done, the cartel will end up ruling all of Mexico. The original sign became a big problem more than two decades ago. The leader was Miguel Ángel Félix Gallardo who knew he would eventually be arrested. He was wise enough to split his business between two cartels, the Sinaloa Cartel and the Tijuana Cartel, before he was jailed. Both were allies at the time, but as they grew up they became enemies. Of course, in the cartel the enemy is a dead man. The Tijuana Cartel sent one of its hitmen to kill the Sinaloa drug lord. The hitman made a mistake and killed a Catholic priest. Most Mexicans are Catholic, when this story hit the news Mexicans realized it was worse than they thought. Now, most of Mexico is part of the Catholic religion, so this made the news and that's when Mexico realized it had a problem coming. The Tijuana cartel drug lord was eventually arrested, but the Sinaloa drug lord is still in the bathroom... center of the card... the most wanted drug lord, El Chapo. While these are good results, the cartel continues to thrive. The situation is said to have worsened as around 1,000 people have died in drug-related violence every month since Pena Nieto took office, and the army is still involved in clashes with cartels across much of the country. The cartel will continue to gain the upper hand. Mexico. Even after decades, the cartel is still creating a huge story. Teens are accepting this horrible behavior. The cartel is getting wiser and thriving for new businesses. Mexican citizens are constantly terrorized by these cartels and cannot trust the police. Educational standards must be raised to provide more opportunities for Mexican citizens. President Pena Nieto must control this situation to lower the mortality rate. If nothing can be accomplished, the cartel will take control of Mexico.
