Since our independence, we have come a long way. At the same time our perception and behavior have changed a lot. After our independence, due to lack of resources, we were mainly dependent on foreign products. But as we went forward, we developed our companies and also introduced a whole new culture to this nation. Since our topic includes the psychological and consumption behavior of Bangladeshis towards foreign products, we will analyze the current situation of our country accordingly. Throughout the essay we will discuss our hypothetical perception of the consumer perspective, as well as the results and analysis. Before 2000 we can hardly see our companies, except for some garment industries and some large industries. But as the world has become more digital, we have also developed with the flow and now Bangladesh has its own companies. We are no longer completely dependent on foreign products. However, while purchasing something, we have a very common perception about the quality, price and also the durability of such products. Some people in our country still believe that foreign products are better than our local products. On the other hand, we can see that our local companies are growing and their sales are growing at the same time. Most of the inhabitants of our country focus on purchasing local products. Our psychological and consumer behavior is changing a lot. Our main goal is to uncover these factors behind such behaviors. During the thesis we will analyze the results and connect them with the theories. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on "Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned"? Get Original EssayThe title of the report “Understanding Bangladeshi Psychological and Consumer Behavior towards Foreign Products” is prepared to show consumer behavior towards different products. It aims to explore and understand consumer preferences and understand the real world situation. The report was prepared under the supervision of Ms. Fabiha Enam and with the collaboration of the group members. The main objective of this essay is to prepare a report prepared primarily to complete the course requirements. The secondary objective is to find the psychological and consumption behavior of Bangladeshi population. And since we are marketing students, we need to know how to apply different theories to different problems and also know the changes in the situation. The scope of the project is limited to the participation of consumers in general. Only consumers from Dhaka city were selected for the report and the participants are mainly graduate students who have high knowledge and strong sensory choice to differentiate different brands. The report has been prepared using data from both primary and secondary sources. The basic information on this essay was taken from websites and real consumers. The impact of end-user characteristics on brand choice was determined based on primary research. Included in this report is a survey with 60 (minimum) respondents. Like any other project, this one also faced some limitations during the preparation phase. There were few research participants and their time was limited during the survey. Additionally, participants wanted to respond on another related topic. There was a limitation in collecting data from a large number of participants whoseopinion on those brands could have added more value to this research. The quality difference of ingredients between foreign and local products is not included here. In terms of beauty, people never compromise. They always tend to choose the best for beauty care. Furthermore, hair care is an important part of every man's life. A brand is a promise of a certain level of quality, taste and overall experience. People always know what to buy and what to expect. Local products can exceed these expectations but there is always the risk of being disappointed. This is why most consumers choose what they know best and that very often foreign product. When it comes to choosing hair care products, people always choose those products that have style and status statements. Usually the packaging of the products also plays an important role in terms of choice. Because style is a key factor in the fall of foreign goods. I say, most of the girls responded to my survey that they are mainly loyal to foreign brands. Analysis: Products that suit you best Most women in our country think that it is better to use foreign brands for hair care. Since they don't trust local or global brands, they buy foreign hair care products. 87.1% of people think foreign brands are best for hair care as they are more trustworthy and have brand loyalty. The main reason for choosing foreign products is to have healthy looking hair. As there are many products that offer various benefits, but most of them do not guarantee healthy looking care. Nowadays people mainly focus not only on outlook but also appearance to enhance their beauty. So you need to have healthy looking, frost-free hair. There were three options in this part, but 54.8% of people voted for healthy-looking hair rather than silky, shiny hair or deep nourishment. Buying local brands is not so popular among people. 77.4% of citizens responded negatively to local products. Since local products are mainly manufactured globally, they tend to purchase foreign products. It doesn't matter whether they are middle class or lower class, they always try to cope with the upper class. Foreign products are generally priced higher but they don't care. They think that when you buy imported products, you may belong to a certain class. Before the survey, we predicted that price plays an important role in choosing a product. But the survey response shows that 67.7% of people will choose high-end products which are a little expensive, and 32.3% will choose local products. High-end products have a good reputation in the market and are much more popular than local products. As a result, people purchase foreign branded products due to the exclusivity of some products. The common problem in our country is air pollution. It is the main reason for hair damage. Due to the amount of dust and other harmful gases, almost all men and women suffer from various hair problems such as hair fall, dandruff, etc. To reduce this problem they believe in using foreign products as 67.3% of people depend on foreign products. 38.7% of people, however, choose locals because they think it is better to use local products to solve local problems. Buying the cheapest products to save money doesn't always translate into savings. Focusing on quality rather than price can be worth it in the long run. Thepeople think that good quality is accompanied by overpriced products, as 71% voted in favor of quality. In the survey, 51.6% of people voted for the same brand of conditioner along with shampoo, as conditioner is complementary to shampoo. Using both at the same time can be beneficial for hair care. Furthermore, a minority of people choose different brands such as conditioner, which can also be local. The survey shows that most people depend on branded products, but I think local brands have an advantage in the field because they are more familiar, have a strong relationship with their consumers and therefore are rooted in the local culture. People mainly focus on foreign brand products. If globally a brand can import into the market, people will switch to local brands. For this, they must imply brand positioning theory. A brand positioning strategy refers to creating brand associations in the minds of customers to make them perceive the brand in a specific way. If the product satisfies the consumer, he will tend to purchase the product and will be a loyal customer to the brand. Brand position can be found in these steps: Understand what your consumers want. Understand what the company and brand's capabilities are. Understand how each competitor positions their brand. Be different from competitors. The brand must be unique. The globalization of clothing is an unavoidable wonder that is pushing the entire world to become a market, a world city. With the world turning into a solitary market, globalization has taken a significant toll in enabling organizations across the world to break out of their home markets and confidently spread their operations across the globe. With increasing competition in the global arena, more and more foreign companies are entering the local market by taking over customers. Foreign clothing brands have captured a large part of our market. Due to globalization, people's consumption pattern is changing rapidly. People are more interested in buying foreign clothing brands. Customers feel happy to buy imported clothes rather than trying local ones. It has been noticed that shoppers are hesitant to buy from local stores while foreign brands are seen as a status symbol. Especially young people seem to follow foreign fashion more than their own. From the survey we found that most people have their own criteria when choosing clothes. 41.9% of people choose quality and 38.7% of people look for convenience when purchasing clothes. However, people are hardly loyal to the brand. They mainly look for their own needs. The choice of brand also depends on age. In our survey the majority of people are between the ages of 20 and 25. Although we previously thought that younger generations preferred foreign brands more, our survey proved us wrong. Younger generations are more open to using local clothes and trying different deshi fabrics. They feel more comfortable with local styles and tend to skip foreign fashions. From the survey we discovered that social classes have an impact on the choice between foreign and local brands. Based on our mindset we asked a question. Almost 58.4% of people agree that foreign brands are more suitable for a professional look. Foreign brands tend to provide good quality of simple yet sophisticated clothing that suits a formal look very well. So companies and professionals tend to visit foreign brands more. While.
