Throughout the entire Fall 2019 semester, in the course MSJ 11402 Ethics in Media and Communication, we learned the basic foundations of ethics and its relationship to the media . Apart from this, in our syllabus we have assigned to watch some films based mainly on contemporary media and their ethical dilemmas. Sometimes conflicting situations emerge from those films. And our final task was to write an article about contemporary media and their ethical dilemmas: a cinematic portrayal. In this article I will try to express my understanding and try to connect the dilemmas present in the films. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on "Why Violent Video Games Shouldn't Be Banned"? Get an original essay In this article I will try to find out the ethical dilemmas and connect with the role of journalism ethics. In reality, ethics is what we believe in and in media ethics it is there and remains. It has always been about constantly inventing and modifying mistakes to introduce new social and technological conditions. Media ethics are a revolution and must be open to the future. Today, investigative journalism opens up new avenues for ethics in the media. Ethics is not just a theoretical document. Let's take the domain. How we act and react to the new and different situation. As journalists, teachers, students and ethicists, we must bridge the old and the new. This practice has been followed in newsrooms for days now. We now come to the cinematographic section, in the film Insider “The value of investigative journalism and free media to report health threats is well explained. Alongside the film the question arises: where and when were the mainstream media free to act in the interests of the public? And that's one of my dilemmatic observations. In this film we can see that the influencer, dominator or barrier of journalism ethics and professional journalism at corporate level. While the film is a must see for anyone interested in the media because it explores the contentious relationship between corporate interests and independent journalism, it also asks a question that will be very difficult to answer: are we sacrificing your family's well-being to tell the media something that did you know? And if so, would it be ethical despite the dangers and threats? In the film 'The Year of Living Dangerously', can we identify a moral situation in the film faced by any character? What questions does this dilemma raise and are there answers? This was one of my angels identifying the point to be addressed. Guy Hamilton's dedication to his job exposes him to ethical and moral conflicts when he obtains secret information about the PKI. And another ethical question raised when he had to make a choice between his career and the British woman he fell in love with. And the hare is the dilemma that is created. Here at this point his dilemma situation was about his career and his love. Therefore “we saw that this raises an ethical question: what is the nature of human love, trust, commitment and loyalty, and how does it conflict with a professional journalist's ethical commitment to “telling the truth ” objectively? Through our discussion, we discovered that there is a “right” way to make this decision, and not one to make it blindly. The boundary between the protection of history and that of the collective is blurred; it is up to us as individuals to serve our profession in the best way we know how and in alliance with our code of ethics. Seriously telling the truth will almost always hurt someone. Although in the code "seek the truth and report it" offers an unproblematic defense for Guy's reaction to using the top secret information Jill gave him, and also.
