What got me interested in becoming an educator in the first place was when I was in elementary school. I remembered that I loved watching teachers share their knowledge in front of a class. The passion became stronger when I was given the opportunity to participate in teaching programs, namely ABCL in 2015. In this program, I teach three students of chemistry and one of mathematics. This tutoring experience gave me great satisfaction every time I helped a friend understand a particular chapter. It was a great feeling. Furthermore, it taught me to simplify complex explanations in various ways for better understanding for both my students and myself. Say no to plagiarism. It builds me more confidence in speaking, socializing and presenting my ideas and knowledge. In 2014, while I was waiting for my O Level results, I had volunteered to be a teacher assistant in the nursery school for three months. In 2017, I had done a three-week stint at the sixth form center observing chemistry lessons. The experience has taught me different methods in classroom management, providing points/knowledge to students of different ages. Furthermore, I was exposed to different classroom activities to gain better understanding for students in the classroom, such as role-playing, presentations, discussions, etc. I was also given the opportunity to teach a chemistry topic for two lower grades. It was a struggle at first due to nervousness, but as the conference went on, I felt better and, in the end, it was very rewarding. Teaching them and helping them understand the points delivered was very satisfying and I loved it. So, I realized that I have a passion for my teaching career and therefore I intend to apply for the Master of Teaching at UBD. Besides academic achievements, I participated in the table tennis tournament in 2014. It was a good opportunity to participate in the competition because it builds confidence in me, teaches teamwork as it was a double game and the pursuit of being the best. This is somewhat related to my course as it helps me cope with stress and engage fully. Furthermore, the result is a healthy body condition that leads to better thinking skills. Another way to cope with stress, I would jog around the house or go to the sports complex to jog or play badminton or table tennis. Sometimes I played rollerblades in my house. So, I train to release tension. During my time at university, I not only focused on my studies but also participated in other activities outside of class. I served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Brunei Society at University College London, known as the BRUCL Society, as well as Secretary for the Brunei Society in Brunei Hall the following year. I have been part of a committee in conducting events such as Lost in London, Brunei Night Stage Performance, National Day, Junjung Ziarah and so on. Additionally, I joined a three-day Islamic camp known as Kem Ibadah and Mental Health Workshop. Keep in mind: This is just an example. Get a custom paper from our expert writers now.
