Women were not necessarily seen as unimportant to everyone, but they were not seen as a high priority either (Bryant, 2014, p. 20). If the trend were to change towards a traditional family style, women's rights could be simplified. There was a need for women in technology to help with lines of communication and other non-combat related jobs (Bryant, 2014, p. 20). However, societal values and uses of technology have changed significantly in recent years. I could see how women fought for their rights and yet lived in a traditional family. It seems that more and more people want a healthy family and at the same time they also want their rights. Maybe that's what would happen, women's rights wouldn't be diminished but the family's lifestyle would change. I wonder: if a value is placed on individual rights, how would living in a traditional family affect them? Going back to the original question, trends are only set by those who are willing to respect them. They seem to be accepted if they are considered important or influential and crucial to a personal identity. Having said that, I think that women, being as strong in their individuality as they are today, would not be very strong
