California's entire education system does not need to be changed to be successful. In the past, the education system worked and created many productive and successful members of society. Changing the entire system is not what California needs, but what it needs is changing some policies and procedures. Changing these few policies and procedures will greatly benefit California's education system. This great nation and this great state has the right ideas, now it just needs to take the existing educational structure and make some changes and then we will be back on the right track. Education policy in California has provided quality analysis for K-12 education issues. “The question of leadership begins with an examination of the effects of the federal stimulus on our schools not only for the immediate impact but also for the long-term consequences for California schools” (Weis). The effect of the stimulus is to ensure that our schools are protected and receive the resources necessary for students to learn. “California recently joined twenty-four other states in an interstate education compact that makes it easier for children of military personnel to travel from school to school” (Weis). This shows that things will be a little easier for the average military student when they transfer from one school to another. “One of the difficult budget decisions facing many districts is when and how to rezone and close schools” (Weis). This is due to safety concerns, student enrollment, and to minimize student transportation so they do not have to cross as many major roads and highways. Education policies should remain as they are, but they have their own problems... middle of paper... the existing procedures and policies already in place are the best way, in my opinion, to fix the education problem of California. system.Works Cited1.
