Overpopulation has become a huge problem in the world today. There was a decline in the death rate and an increase in the birth rate. This is due to all the technological advancements the world has achieved. Nowadays we can stop a disease before it affects you. This reduces the possible possibility of some kind of disease affecting the population. There are more drugs for all types of diseases, which allows people to live longer. Every year the world becomes stronger against diseases. From 1950 to today there have been many causes of overpopulation, such as declining mortality rates, technological advancements and fertility treatments, better medical facilities, baby boomers, and immigration problems. On the other hand there have been several impacts including the depletion of natural resources, diseases, jobs and unemployment. Falling death rates have been more of a problem in some places than others. From 1950 to today, life expectancy has increased more and more. This is a good thing as it allows people to live longer, more fulfilled lives. Although this brings some problems to fruition, especially in places where more people are born than die. China is one of these places. China is one of the few countries to have adopted a law on the number of children each family can have due to this problem. If a family had an additional child, they would be heavily taxed because of their crime. One of the reasons that is causing higher mortality rates is the increase in food surplus which allows more people to have more food. Additionally, with a growing economy people have more wealth, which they can use to stay healthy. If each person from now on limits the number of children they have for a certain period of time, the population will slowly begin to balance. In conclusion there are many aspects that are the cause of overpopulation. Through the studies and research done, if due to the persistence of the population, there will soon be a huge dilemma for the entire world. The world needs to be more proactive than reactive about overpopulation. If the entire world limited the number of children you had, the world's population would balance out much faster than the current rate. Overall, overpopulation has not had a positive impact on any country. It brings crime, pollution and many other aspects that this world does not need to get. If the world doesn't start being proactive now, major problems will arise.
