(Gaiman) This use of imagery sets the tone of an area that is humid and rainy most of the time, a predominantly humid area would not be a popular area for people to live in. author continues to write: “Parts of the city where the police travel in threes, if they travel at all. In my work you can visit them more than is healthy” (Gaiman) The author once again sets a crude tone and explains how difficult it is travel to some parts of the city. This area is a place where a person is forced to go, or it is a type of person who makes it scary to go to that area. In fact, people hired to protect others are afraid of go to this area, the less they have reinforcements. This type of tone is important to have when converting a book into a success
