Vanuatu is a series of islands located on the coast of Australia-Oceania. Vanuatu is rich in resources. They are working to fix their economy. They have a very interesting culture. The geography of this country is very intriguing. Vanuatu is a series of 83 islands in the Pacific Ocean. Most of the country's territory is located in twelve of these islands, while the other islands are very small in size. The islands have several mountains and are rich in forests. Vanuatu has nine volcanoes, including Yasur, one of the most active volcanoes in the world. These volcanoes have caused earthquakes and tsunamis on the islands. Vanuatu's capital and largest island is Port Vila. Port Vila makes up the majority of the country's population. The second largest island is Lugnville. These two islands make up the majority of the country's territory and population. The rest of the islands are smaller in size and population. In Vanuatu there is very little transport. The number one way to get around is walking. There are very few cars or bicycles because they are considered luxury items. There are some taxis, but these are mostly privately owned cars or buses. The cheapest way to get around is by boat, but these have many stops and are therefore not as fast. Vanuatu has a parliamentary republican government. The leader of the state is President Iolu Johnson Abbil. This role is mostly just a ceremonial role in government. The leader of the government is Prime Minister Moana Carcasses Kalosil. They have a constitution and the voting age is 18. Their economy is largely based on agriculture, particularly livestock farming. There are a few other things they live off of, such as fishing, tourism and offshore financial services. They receive foreign aid... middle of paper... shoes of choice are flip flops, but it is not uncommon to go barefoot. The clothing comes in a variety of colors and patterns made from lightweight materials. In Vanuatu there is a variety of technology. Even though most of their territory is uninhabited, they have plenty of internet and telephone services. They have most of the technology in the United States. They don't have an army there, just a Vanuatu police and mobile force. The terrorist threat in Vanuatu is very small. There are no human rights violations in Vanuatu. The Prime Minister cares a lot about human rights. They haven't done anything that would affect the world lately. Vanuatu has interesting terrain. They are working to grow their economy. Their culture is very rich. They are working hard to improve everything in their country. Vanuatu is a very interesting developing nation.
