Is fear an angel on your shoulder? Or is it a devil on your shoulders? The answer is both. Fear dictates our choices, but when we take the fears within us and decide their true meaning, we can conclude what kind of outcome they will produce and avoid our unnecessary thoughts. Fear influences us in negative and positive ways that control every decision we make, but its power is limited to our reaction and whether our fear is negative or positive. Negative fears are mostly caused by reflecting on things that have happened and using that knowledge to come to the realization of the fear in a current situation. When we fear negatively, it distances us from making positive choices. While fear can be seen as something that makes us stronger, it is ultimately what creates failure. Shirley Maclai said, “Fear makes strangers of those who would be friends.” Fears hold us back and don't allow us to explore new things.
