Topic > Hamlet's Soliloquy - 1095

As stated by Dr. Mitchell A. Kalpakgian, professor of English at Simpson College, states: "In his hatred of evil and his trust in Divine Providence, Hamlet does not fear death as he enters in the fencing match: “We defy the wish. There is a special providence in the fall of a sparrow. If it is not now, it will not come; if it does not come, it will happen now; everything.'I really believe that Hamlet was suffering from depression issues and didn't know how to deal with everything that was going on, but one thing is for sure, is that he wouldn't have killed himself because it would be a shame. What this quote states is that he hasn't no intention of committing suicide, but he is ready to die, whether now or later, but he is destined to do so.
