Why does adolescent behavior reach such a scandalous point but go ignored and unquestioned? “About one in five adolescents in the United States suffers from a mental disorder severe enough to impact their daily life at those exact times or at some point in their life..” “(Staff).” A small group of teenagers might be going about their daily lives and one of them is more than likely having a mental health problem and will never receive treatment or help for it. Academic progress declines most when adolescents become depressed and result in suicide. Although unstable mental health in adolescents can cause lack of self-motivation, behavioral problems, and suicide; has yet to be seriously addressed in the United States.
