Art is not just a painting on a wall or in a museum, art comes in many forms. It can be a song you just listened to, a video you watched, or a painting you saw in a gallery. Also, art can only be text. All art forms capture you in different ways and make your thoughts evolve to new distances. Art can give you feelings you never thought you would feel. You can perceive art in many ways and the creator wants it to influence you. I believe that yes, it can really influence society and inform human behavior. Although it may seem to some that images, songs and videos influence you the most, it is actually true that books are the most influential and informative because they connect with your mind and emotions. There are many people in this world and their are many art forms. It's inevitable that everyone will have the same opinion about which form affects them the most, but let me give you some information anyway. When you look at the Mona Lisa, by Leonardo Divinci, what do you see? Most people only see a beautiful picture and a famous work of art. They never really thought about this portrait more deeply. It's just something to look at, not something that affects you. When you watch a video, you get facts and information. You may remember it for a while, but is it something that will push you to make a change? I don't believe it. Music on the other hand is quite influential in our time. The song "The Show Goes On" by Lupe Fiasco goes: "Okay, already the show goes on, all night, until the morning we dream so much." This song is about how bad things will happen but the dream will continue to live and move forward because "The Show Goes On". Another song “Changed” by Rascal Flatts states: “I hit myself with my knee… in the middle of the paper… to let us all read the lyrics so we can make our own opinions and decisions about how do it." it affected us directly. Sometimes you adopt other people's point of view and you have to read someone else's point of view to hear it yourself and formulate your own thought on the matter. Furthermore, the text informs you of the information you really need to know if you teach something or evolve your thoughts, books tell us very important things. If we all didn't read, we would never know some of the things on this earth that need changing. Our world would be a very different place if people didn't read other people's points of view, thoughts and ideas. Unfortunately, our world would be worse off without sharing knowledge of others' past mistakes. Art is simply not something we look at or listen to, that art of books and texts is something that influences and informs us and makes us better.
