This story is set in 2081. George and Hazel Bergeron have a son, Harrison. Tragically for them, the government took him away when he was only fourteen. You see, the government decided that George Bergeron had better-than-normal discernment, so they put a radio in his ear. Piercing sirens, crashes and explosions intermittently go off to hinder his perspective. Hazel, on the other hand, is extraordinarily normal, so she doesn't need a handicap.
