The ability to narrow a search was one of the most helpful parts when researching. For me, the biggest indicators between academic and popular sources are the obvious signs that a paper has been peer-reviewed or not and the credentials of the person who wrote the articles. The aspects of research that are easiest for me are the ability to quickly flip through many different sources to find just what I need and knowing when a writer is an expert in their field. The hardest aspect for me was evaluating websites; I sometimes find it difficult to determine when a website is a reliable source. Learning to do research has greatly improved my writing. Personal essays and short stories are simple types of writing that require little or no sources, but when it comes to research papers, it is crucial to understand and know how to use sources. I used the CNM databases for every other class that required any form of writing or research. On the other hand, thank you so much for being an amazing teacher. Of course, there was a lot more work in this course than I expected, you were wonderful in helping us accomplish everything we needed. I loved this lesson and hope to have more fun lessons like this
