This memory aid technique comes in many forms that can be fun and easy to remember for some people. Mnemonic devices can range from songs, pictures, symbols, words, phrases, and even faces of other individuals (Terry WS). They can also be used for anything from school-related information to daily activities/information. For example, musical mnemonics are commonly used among young children because they remember it better and faster. Like the ABC song or the Fifty Nifty song. Another example is acronyms, commonly used in math and science lessons. As in math class, the acronym for remembering the order of operations is PEMDAS (Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally). Similarly with Anatomy and Physiology, the phrase used to remember the eight small bones in the wrist is Popsicle, Mother, May Come Home by Never Lick Tilly. Another example is the popular acronym to remember the seven coordinating conjunctions of English, which are For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So (FANBOYS).
