However, as funding has been cut, money has become the major issue for many higher education institutions. It is understandable that higher education institutions are turning their attention to international students. However, I continue to wonder to what extent international tuition can help with the growing financial need of higher education institutions? I believe the government should take action to increase funding as the financial issue has become a burden for higher education institutions in evaluating education objectives. In addition to continuing to cut expenses and ask international students for money, I believe that higher education institutions should create a dialogue with the government. Colleges/universities can use the power of the media to put more pressure on the government. Students are the future of our society, providing education available to all students or residents is the top priority for the government and higher education institutions. If higher education cannot be adequately funded in BC or Canada, how will BC or Canada remain strong economically and scientifically in the future? In the meantime, colleges/universities should consider how to allocate the limited resources (money) they have. They really need a luxury building or invest in the future resource for our future
