My "isms" focus primarily on conservative viewpoints. I believe we should return to the level of government that our founding fathers designed and that established the freedoms and privileges we have enjoyed in this country. This is not to say that everything our country was founded on agrees with. It is important to define my views based on my beliefs and the way I was raised. I believe in equality for all. We should not receive special benefits based on wealth, race, gender, or position. Personal improvement and gain should be based on the effort you apply. According to my “ism,” education funding is stable, abortion is illegal, healthcare is a choice, physical traits do not determine college acceptance, the United States would extract more oil, and some of the content television would be maintained more rigorously. First, I believe the government should place emphasis on education and be able to maintain a fixed amount for spending on education funding at the state level instead of cutting it. People should always have the opportunity to get a good education that isn't affected much by spending cuts or where you live. It seems like the education you receive depends on where you live, so students in inner-city schools don't have the same opportunities. For example, New York City has a 61% June graduation rate and 46% June graduation rate in Syracuse. (Riede) The more people who can graduate from high school, the more people have a better opportunity to go to college. America must provide opportunities for people to gain more knowledge in order to acquire one or more skills, in order to eventually get a job.
