Pollution from diesel emissions has and, if not stopped, will continue to cost the government, along with taxpayers, large sums of money. These health effects can lead to cancer which can lead to death. Cancer, however, is not the only health effect that can be caused by diesel pollution; asthma can also be a consequence and can lead to premature death in children. Keeping diesel cars in Australia will save individuals money, as they won't have to refuel as often. There are also many other pollutants that we as humans have to deal with. In my personal opinion, diesel cars should be phased out in Australia. Overall, ridding Australia of diesel cars will save us and the government more money, in medical associations. I understand that diesel cars are better for the environment than petrol cars, but if there are no more humans due to the health effects caused by diesel emissions, what's the point of having a healthy environment? Technology is evolving and in the future cars will be produced that are environmentally friendly and have no negative effects on human health, there is no need to continue ruining the health of thousands of people
