After the fight for freedom from Europe, the political system of the United States changed forever. The United States had made improvements in the government structure to make the country a better place. The country has been affected in many different ways by the departure from the homeland. Because of the freedom the American people wanted, they had to create a government that could lead them to a better country than the motherland. The American people were making many improvements in government to create a strong, self-governing country. The country had some advantages and disadvantages that led it to govern what it is today. The political history of the United States from the Constitutional Convention to 1846 has had an increasing influence on government progressivism, slavery, and women. Since the constitutional convention the United States government has improved the government system. The government has made a lot of progress, it has gone from an authoritarian country to a country self-governed by the people. Politicians are changing the structure of the government system into a better version than the previous one, making it a fairer system for the people. For example, during the Philadelphia convention the Congress had developed a more effective and unified constitution than before. They initiated system changes towards a more complex governmental system for the benefit of people and states. For example, congress came up with the idea of ​​creating an upper house for the Senate and a lower house for the House of Representatives along with the Great Compromise which gave the president substantial power over the government. Congress did this because after America... mid-paper... the influence for a better status for slavery was changing; new reforms have been made that make a difference for a better life for slaves. And along with the change in government reform, women are showing up and this marks the beginning of change for women's rights. The change took time, but little by little they made decisions that improved their lives, such as when they had access to education and were able to teach in schools. The most interesting aspect of the story for me was when women start seeking their rights. I believe that if those women had not fought for their rights and remained silent, they would still be treated like property in today's society. For example, women could not access education and work like we do today. I am so proud of those women who fought for our rights and made sure our generations could enjoy what we have today.
