Imagine a world where everyone has advanced concentration, where everyone is not stressed, and where everyone is perfectly happy. This perfect utopia may seem like the setting of a futuristic science fiction book, but this utopia is not a distant reality. It's possible, thanks to the powerful healing effects of music. For centuries music has entertained the crowds who came to listen to it, but it wasn't until recently that we learned about the effects it has on the human body. From increasing oxygen saturation to lowering blood pressure to changing mood, the effects of music on health are increasingly evident. As humans begin to unlock the secrets of music, this knowledge can begin to be applied to the real world. This includes business, academia, and more recently, medical fields. So, in short, music can relieve stress, improve concentration and improve mental health. Music's effect on stress relief is due in part to its effect on mood. It may seem like a sentence within a sentence, but it is much more. When you listen to classical music you are brought to a state of calm. When you listen to rap or faster tempo music, you are brought into a state of action. These effects all have to do with the power of music on our mood.
