Work Experience and Educational BackgroundI am currently the irritated owner of Edwards HRM Consulting Services and have been an owner operator since September 15, 2012. From 2001 to 2008, I worked for Dan & Stone Landscaping Services, where I took care of monthly billing and scheduling for clients and employees. From 1977 to 1996, I was employed at General Motors Corporation in Pontiac, Michigan, where I worked as an assembly clerk, but was occasionally asked to do clerical work, then quality control, and later I became a United Way representative for General Motors Corporation Employees, both hourly and salary. From 1971 to 1975, I worked for Bloomfield Hills Nursing Home in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, as a nurse and later as a union representative for employees on the second shift from 3 to 11 p.m. As a union representative I had the opportunity to work with AFL-CIO union leaders and company owners in negotiating an employment contract for employees throughout the nursing home. I attended Eenon Bible College from 1992 to 1993, where I studied Biblical Studies. I was a full-time student and received a certificate in biblical studies. Next, I am currently attending Baker College and have been a part-time student from 2007 to present. I recently completed all required courses except the WRK 218 Work Experience project to earn an associate degree in Human Resource Management with a concentration in Marketing. I am also currently working towards a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management with a minor in Psychology. I have earned an additional thirty-two hours of credit toward my degree at Baker College, where I am currently enrolled. I chose Baker College at this time in my life because I felt Baker College offered the courses... middle of paper......creative style, tenure, organizational function, education, background and more. Diversity isn't just about how people perceive themselves, but also about how they perceive others. These perceptions influence their interactions” (Greenberg, 2005, paragraph, 3). Coupled with my past work experiences and educational background in Human Resources from Baker College, I feel that I am well qualified to face any opposition, as well as face any competition. from others in my business as a human resources consultant. Due to such high demand in the market for HRM professionals, small businesses and large organizations will need consultancy or coaching from HR consultants such as mines to remain effective and competitive in the market. Overall I enjoyed my studies in human resource management at Baker College. My course of study also trained me to be an effective professional in the human resources management business world.
