These students who in the past risked losing scholarships, losing their chances of being accepted into large colleges and universities in the United States, or losing confidence in their abilities, may turning the statistics around and challenging themselves in education in ways they had never been able to do before. Female students can gain confidence in their abilities and seek careers in science and mathematics fields, which is an area where women are underrepresented (Obama, np). However, there are possible negative effects of anonymous evaluation. Throughout the course, as a student writes various essays and articles, the instructor becomes aware of that particular student's writing style or "voice." Anonymous grading may prevent the teacher from understanding the context of a piece of writing because they do not know whose test they are grading, or the teacher may be able to recognize the writing style and continue grading with a bias against some students. The anonymous rating policy must be thoroughly researched before being implemented in public
