A hero is a man who, in the opinion of others, is greatly admired for his courageous actions and fine qualities. A hero is a man who, in the opinion of others, is greatly admired for his courageous deeds and fine qualities. In Schindler's List directed by Steven Spielberg, Oskar Schindler is considered a great hero by many Jews regardless of the fact that he is a German Nazi, because he saves generations and the lives of 1,200 Jews during the Holocaust. The Holocaust was the systematic mass murder of approximately 6 million Jews and millions of others during World War II, which occurred in Nazi concentration camps, under the Nazi German regime. In the midst of this brutal time, Oskar Schindler finds the courage to change from a simple rich and pragmatic man to become a virtuous and good man who helps save the Jews. But more than a do-gooder, Oskar Schindler was more of a self-motivator who set goals based on his own visions and dreams and worked hard to achieve them. We see this characteristic in Schindler emerge when he works to achieve his goal of becoming rich, when he influences some of his personal motivation on Goeth, and when Schindler gets closer to his recently changed goal of saving the Jews. Schindler's first goal is his sole intention of becoming rich, filthy rich. He decides to start a pots and pans business with his new Jewish accountant, Itzhak Stern. Although Schindler has no idea about the way an enamel factory is run and the distant relationships between Jews and Nazis, all he has on his mind is success. Even Stern is surprised by Schindler's quick and easy ways in contrast to his own, and his unawareness of... medium of paper... a munitions factory to attract more Jewish workers. However, his factory works to intentionally produce low-quality artillery and tank shells to prevent the production of other weapons that can be used among people. Schindler tells Stern, "If this factory ever produced a bullet that could actually be fired, I would be very unhappy." From that point on, Schindler began to openly display his motivation to save the Jews, and his same motivation has helped save many generations of Jews even today. The man who once only aimed to make money to satiate his desire to become the richest man in the world found a new and greater motivation that helped him become a better person, which even Schindler himself became more motivated in become. You can see the stages of change that Schindler went through and each time he was always so determined and driven by something.
