Topic > The importance of verbal communication - 752

Communication is made up of two central categories, verbal and non-verbal communication. Listening, understanding and coherence are main components of the verbal aspect of communication. Furthermore, eye contact, gestures, proximity, and language, such as speech tempo, vocal intonation, and intonational contours, which can be used to communicate attitudes or other nuances of meaning, are all essential components of nonverbal aspects of communication. I think good grammar and communication skills are important. People use both on a daily basis to communicate. One of the most important reasons to know and use good grammar is to know how to communicate in written texts such as email, post, and notes. We communicate through written words in our daily lives. We use the written word in places like work and school. Kyle Wiens says “your words are all you have.” When we speak we show our level of intelligence, so projecting ourselves clearly is very important. Good grammar shows how organized and tidy you are, especially in your thoughts and the meaning of what you say. If you know what you are going to say before you say it, you can be sure that you will be successful in completing your task in the workplace. Good grammar also means listening effectively to the person you are talking to because it shows the seriousness of what you want to say to them. Following these rules with good grammar will ensure good grammar in writing and speaking. My profession is a sociologist. A sociologist is someone who studies human social life. They study behavior, interaction between groups, organizations and nations. I will need strong communication skills to be successful in this profession... half the battle... completing small to complex tasks. It is important to be able to relate the information you are thinking about to others. To communicate better, it is very important to incorporate these elements during communication. Work needs to be done to improve communication skills to better prepare professionals for the challenges they will encounter in their daily interactions with people. While not every professional can be expected to become proficient in the many multicultural concepts, perhaps taking the time to improve their knowledge of good communication can make them more effective in life.
