Families are now much more diverse and culturally intertwined. The myth of the “model family” does not persist today because gender roles have changed a lot since the 1950s. Not only have women's roles in the family changed, but men have also undergone a slight adjustment. The involvement of technology and devices in the home has created one of the biggest changes in families. Children are now being raised by a variety of caring adults, including homosexual, interracial, nannies, adoptive, and single.
