The Victorian era brought many changes and the introduction of new things. One issue that stood out was “Sex.” Many things have evolved around this issue, like changes in laws everywhere, it has become a topic for poets/literary writers and also for women's issue. This term means discrimination based on a person's sex and during the 19th century this was a vast problem towards women. It all started at the beginning of the Victorian era with Queen Victoria, who was monarch of the United Kingdom of Great Britain from 1837 to 1901. Being the queen, she played a very important role during this period. As a wife she showed a domestic side. She supported Prince Albert, had his children, became very submissive and dedicated a family to her husband. This image she depicted has become a trend for the outside world. Most people regarded him as the ideal woman in this era. Sex was a topic that began to spread and women began to fight for their voices to be heard. New laws have been introduced in many countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and so on....
