The entire book of Deuteronomy tells the story of a people who made a covenant with God. They promised to serve him according to the way he would want to be served. Deuteronomy lays out all the wonderful things that would happen to them if they were obedient and kept their promises. He also explained what would happen if they didn't keep their promise. It was also pretty tough. They would have lost their country; their enemies would take their identity and be thrown into bondage and the curse they were under would visit their children's children and so on until they decided to follow every rule of worship and follow every step that God had given to them to live according to .Damn! That was a pretty cruel God they were working with! God knows everything past, present and future. My question is: Since God knew from the beginning that this people, whom Moses led out of Egypt, would not be able to keep his promises. It seems to me that the God of the Hebrew Israelites planned to exterminate them all long before they fully understood what they were getting themselves into. Curse! What kind of God makes a deal with you; Who knows you can't keep it? From then on you will be cursed, your children will be cursed and so on. Did the Hebrew Israelites accept a curse on themselves? This didn't go well with me at all! I was not capable of accepting a curse on myself or my children. I thought they might be damned if this was what they wanted to do, but as far as me and mine were concerned, we were free from that shit! Hell, if I hadn't let Jesus control my life, I certainly wouldn't have let his father control my life with all this legalism! All these laws to observe! Ah! I didn't care about the Ten Commandments. It was an easy communication… middle of paper… out. They took their chairs in front of the congregation, then Elijah came out, dressed in white from head to toe. He had a white Rasta cap on his head and a thick, bushy beard. He too was as tall as Gabriel, maybe even taller. Elijah stepped onto the podium and walked as if he had the power of Moses with him! He had a truly commanding presence! Elijah sat his books on the podium and asked Nadia to sing before delivering the message. He sat down. Nadia approached the microphone. The girl was crazy as hell, but one thing is for sure, no one could take away the fact that this crazy girl could sing her heart out. She wasn't the usual powerful gospel singer like Tramaine Hawkins or Yolanda Adams, but she had a sweet, contralto voice that silenced the crowd. I absolutely loved his singing skills. I come from a very musically gifted family. I know
